Brown County Property Tax Protests
According to reports from the Brown County Appraisal District (CAD), many property owners filed protests through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB). A total of 938 protests were filed, with residential properties accounting for 301 of them. Additionally, there were 168 protests for commercial properties and 49 for business personal property(BPP). Altogether, the total value of the protests reached $1 billion. At the end of the process, a reduction of $101 million was achieved.
