Midland County Tax Appraisal – 2021

The administration of the district is overseen by the Midland Central Appraisal District Board of Directors. Various tax entities are given the opportunity to select the board members for the Midland Central Appraisal District. There are representatives from each of the taxing entities (schools, cities, counties, and special districts) on the board. In Midland County, there are over eight tax entities. In addition to the selection of the chief appraiser, the board of directors is also responsible for approving the district's budget, which is in the amount of over $3 M.

Have you appealed your property taxes?

In order to represent the interests of taxing entities on the board of directors, members of the board are elected to represent them. The Midland Central Appraisal District offers you the opportunity to represent yourself in an appeal. Let us represent you in your appeal if you do not wish to appeal on your own. We offer free enrollment, so you'll never miss another deadline for filing your property taxes again. When joining the Property Tax Protection Program™, you will only be charged if we are able to reduce your property taxes for that particular year.
