Orange County 2024 Property Tax Protest
According to reports from the Orange County Appraisal District (CAD), a large number of property owners filed protests in 2024. A total of 3,099 protests were filed, with residential properties accounting for 1,774 of them. Additionally, there were 280 protests for commercial properties and 136 for business personal property (BPP). Altogether, the total value of the protests reached $3 billion. At the end of the process, through Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, a reduction of $20 million was achieved.
