Hill County Property Tax Protests

According to the Hill County Appraisal District (CAD), approximately 3,005 property tax protests were filed by Parker County property owners in 2024. Of those, 667 were for single-family homes, 16 for apartment complexes, and 313 for commercial properties. The total value of the properties under protest amounted to $2 billion. As a result of formal hearings conducted by the Appraisal Review Board (ARB), reductions totaled $54 million in assessed value.
