Callahan County Property Valuations 2024

Callahan County property taxes are calculated based on property values established by the Callahan Central Appraisal District (CAD), following the resolution of protests. In 2024, there were 21,626 tax parcels recorded for the county and the market value was $3 billion. The market value for commercial property was $79 million, business personal property (BPP) was $43 million, and residential was $1 billion. To evaluate a large number of properties, services such as computer-aided mass appraisal and GIS technology, are used to determine proper valuations.
