The Bell County Appraisal Review Board (ARB) deliberates on tax protests lodged in the county. Although they present themselves as an independent entity distinct from the Tax Appraisal District of Bell County (CAD), they are remunerated by Bell CAD. The combined property tax savings resulting from informal and ARB proceedings amounted to approximately $3 million in 2022, with ARB tax protest hearings contributing to an additional $33 million.
