Angelina County Appraisal District 2017 Property Tax Protests
According to the Angelina County Appraisal District (CAD) reports, 4704 property tax protests were filed. Out of the total number of protests, 1991 protests filed were for single family residential and 422 were for commercial in Angelina County. Other protests filed through the Angelina CAD included business personal property (BPP), utilities, and industrial. The total value of protests amounted to $2 billion. Protests that were filed through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) resulted in a reduction of $37 million for all types of properties.
