BexarCAD 2023 Property Tax Protest
According to the Bexar Appraisal District reports, over 200 thousand property tax protests were filed. Out of the total number of protests, 139,308 protests filed were for single family residential and 15,547 were for commercial in Bexar County. Other protests filed for the Bexar appraisal district include business personal property, utilities, and industrial. The total value of protests amounted to $148 billion. Protests that were filed through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) resulted in a reduction of $5.5 billion for all types of properties.
