ChambersCAD 2017 Governance

The Chambers County Appraisal District (CAD) is overseen by a five-member Board of Directors. These directors are elected by various local taxing entities, such as school districts, cities, counties, and special districts. The board is primarily responsible for two key functions: appointing the chief appraiser and approving the annual budget. The board's main duty is to safeguard the interests of the taxing entities they represent.
