Harrison Central Appraisal District 2023 Property Tax Protest
In Harrison County, there were a total of 4,127 property tax protests filed. Out of this total, 912 were for residential property and 282 were for commercial property. The total value of the protests amounted to $641 million. The value for houses was $200 million and the commercial value was $277 million. Through Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, a reduction of $289 million was reached for all property.
