Hood County Appraisal District 2017 Property Tax Protests

The Hood Central Appraisal District (CAD) recorded a total of 7,507 protests for all property. Out of this total, 2,786 protests were for houses, 467 were for commercial property accounts, and 143 were for apartments. The total value of the protests for 2023 was $2 billion. A reduction of $77 million was collected for property owners through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB).
