Kerr Central Appraisal District 2023 Property Tax Protest
Kerr County property owners filed 3,674 property tax protests through the Central Appraisal District (CAD) to challenge the high values of their property. The total value protested for in 2023 amounted to $1.5 billion. Through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB), 375 protest hearings were held. As a result, a reduction of $22.4 million was achieved for all property types.
