The McLennan Central Appraisal District (CAD) is overseen by a board of directors consisting of three members. These individuals are appointed by various local taxing entities, including municipalities, special districts, the county, and other institutions. The board's primary responsibilities are to appoint the chief appraiser and to approve the district’s annual budget.
