Orange County Appraisal District 2023 Property Tax Protest
According to reports from the Orange County Appraisal District (CAD), a large number of property owners filed protests in 2023. A total of 6,396 protests were filed, with residential properties accounting for 3,871 of them. Additionally, there were 524 protests for commercial properties and 210 for business personal property (BPP). Altogether, the total value of the protests reached $4 billion. At the end of the process, through Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, a reduction of $16 million was achieved.
