Through the Potter-Randall Appraisal District, in 2023, there were about 10,488 property tax protests filed with a total value of $5 billion. Some of the properties that were protested include single family property (6,553), commercial (1,202), and business personal property (BPP) (519). Through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB), 4,776 property tax protest hearings were held and received a reduction of $84 million.
