The Central Appraisal District of Taylor County (CAD) is governed by a five-member board of directors. The members are appointed by the tax entities that consist of special districts, municipalities, the county, and institutions. The board’s main responsibilities are to appoint the chief appraiser and approve the appraisal district’s budget.
