In 2024, the Travis Central Appraisal District (CAD) is governed by a board of directors with three members. These members represent a range of tax entities including the county, cities, and other local jurisdictions, and act on behalf of these taxing bodies. The board is responsible for selecting the chief appraiser and approving the annual budget.
