Travis County Appraisal District 2024 Property Tax Protest
Per Travis Central Appraisal District (CAD), a total of 180,956 property tax protests were filed in 2023. Out of the total protests filed for all property, 127,547 were for single family, 8,132 were for commercial, and 3,357 were for business personal property. The total value of the protests filed for 2023 was $275,666 billion, and a reduction of $23,283 billion was achieved through Appraisal Review Board (ARB) tax hearings.
