Wichita County Appraisal District 2023 Property Tax Protest
In Wichita County, property owners filed about 4,939 property tax protests in 2023 through the appraisal district that were valued at $3 billion. Drawn from this total, 2,575 protests were filed for single family property, 887 for commercial property, 460 for oil and gas, and 329 for business personal property (BPP). Through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB), 719 property tax hearings were scheduled to further challenge the values. A reduction of $24 million was the result.
