Grayson County Appraisal District Employee Summary – 2023

As of 2023, the Grayson Central Appraisal District (CAD) employed a staff of 47 employees, of which 19 were appraisers. Of the 19 appraisers, 11 were responsible for evaluating residential property and three evaluated commercial property. In Grayson County, there were about 5,835 tax parcels per appraiser in 2023. Since there is a limited number of appraisers and a high volume of tax parcels to evaluate for accurate tax assessments, there are opportunities for the property description and/or valuation to be appealed by the property owners for a reduction.
