HardinCAD 2017 Employee Summary

Labor costs make up the largest portion of spending at the Hardin County Appraisal District (CAD), which employed 15 staff members in 2023, including six appraisers. Among them were five residential appraisers and only one commercial appraiser. Each appraiser in Hardin County was responsible for evaluating approximately 9,766 tax parcels. With a high workload and limited staff, there’s a greater chance for errors in property descriptions, valuation models, and comparable sales, making many appraisals open to appeal.
