County Appraisal District Employee Summary – 2024

The main cost component for the Hunt County Appraisal District (CAD) is labor. Hunt CAD has a total of 30 employees, including 17 appraisers, as of 2023. Of the 17 appraisers, there are 11 residential appraisers and three commercial appraisers. Each appraiser is tasked with evaluating 4,366 tax parcels to produce tax assessments for property owners in the county. Due to the high volume of valuations, shortage of appraisers, and restricted access to property outside of aerial photography, there are avenues for contesting the many assessment factors.
