Midland County Appraisal District 2017 Houses Property Tax Protest Summary

The market value for houses in 2023 resulted in $15.3 billion for Midland County. Through the Midland County Central Appraisal District (CAD), property owners filed 2,871 protests that valued $1.2 billion. 836 protests were filed through the ARB and 266 houses received a reduction. Through ARB hearings, the 266 houses received a reduction of $6 million collectively. Nine lawsuits were filed to further fight the ARB values, $90,500 in reductions was the result.
