Orange County Appraisal District 2023 Houses Property Tax Protest Summary

According to the Orange County Appraisal District (CAD) assessments, the market value for houses was $5 billion. Due to high property taxes and/or unfair valuations in the county, 3,871 protests were filed. The value of the protests filed for houses amounted to $672 million. Through formal or Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, home property owners got a reduction of $6 million collectively.
