Orange County 2024 Houses Property Tax Protest Summary

According to the Orange County Appraisal District (CAD) assessments, the market value for houses was $5 billion. Due to high property taxes and/or unfair valuations in the county, 1,774 protests were filed. The value of the protests filed for houses amounted to $267 million. Through formal or Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, home property owners got a reduction of $3 million collectively.
