As of 2023, the Potter-Randall Appraisal District employed 37 employees, 18 of which were appraisers. Of the 18 appraisers, eight of them are tasked with evaluating residential property, and four of them are tasked with evaluating commercial property. The appraisal district is tasked every year to evaluate thousands of tax parcels. There is the potential to contest the property description and other variables since there are a lot of value assessments to produce, not enough appraisers, and not enough time to look at every property.
