RuskCAD 2017 Employee Summary
As of 2023, the primary expense of the Rusk County Appraisal District (CAD) is labor, supporting a staff of 11 employees—including six appraisers. Among them, four focus on residential properties and only one on commercial real estate. On average, each appraiser is responsible for evaluating approximately 37,809 tax parcels annually.
Due to the high volume of properties, limited staffing, and time constraints, the appraisal process may occasionally result in inaccuracies. These can include issues with property descriptions, valuation models, comparable sales data, or assessment comparables, making some valuations eligible for appeal.
Are You Getting Your Share
Each year, a significant number of residential and commercial property owners challenge their valuations, a practice that has proven effective for over four decades since the district’s formation in 1980. With O’Connor, there is no minimum property value required to receive expert assistance. Through our Property Tax Protection Program™, you pay nothing unless we successfully reduce your property taxes for the year.
