RuskCAD 2017 Employee Summary

As of 2023, the primary expense of the Rusk County Appraisal District (CAD) is labor, supporting a staff of 11 employees—including six appraisers. Among them, four focus on residential properties and only one on commercial real estate. On average, each appraiser is responsible for evaluating approximately 37,809 tax parcels annually.
Due to the high volume of properties, limited staffing, and time constraints, the appraisal process may occasionally result in inaccuracies. These can include issues with property descriptions, valuation models, comparable sales data, or assessment comparables, making some valuations eligible for appeal.
