Wichita County Appraisal District 2023 Houses Property Tax Protest Summary

In 2023, the market value of houses in Wichita County was $7 billion. Residential property owners in the county were faced with high tax assessments; therefore, 2,575 protests were filed through the appraisal district that was valued at $529 million. Through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB), 391 protest hearings were held for residential property, resulting in 205 houses receiving a reduction.
