Lubbock Central Appraisal District informal hearings generated an estimated property tax savings of $1.4 million. Formal hearings with the Appraisal Review Board generated an additional tax savings of approximately $8.7 million, bringing the total tax savings to around $10.2 million for 2021.
July 2023
The Lubbock Central Appraisal District yielded $351 million in property tax assessment reductions at appraisal review board hearings. As a result, property owners in the county collectively realized close to $8.8 million in tax savings!

The Lubbock Central Appraisal District states the total amount of value reduction achieved through the informal process in 2021 was $57.9 million. That translates to around a $1.4 million tax savings for Lubbock County property owners.
