BrazosCAD 2017 Property Valuations

Brazos County property taxes are calculated based on property values established by the Brazos Central Appraisal District (CAD), following the resolution of protests. In 2023, there were 147,759 tax parcels record for the county and the market value was $39 billion. The market value for commercial property was $4.1 billion, business personal property (BPP) was $1 billion, and residential was $18 billion. To evaluate a large number of properties, services such as computer aided mass appraisal and GIS technology, is used to determine proper valuations.
