Property Tax Gregg County – 2023

Gregg County property taxes are determined by the Gregg County Appraisal District (CAD) using property values that are determined after protests. In 2023, there were 263,813 tax parcels in the county and the market value for all property was $17 billion. Houses made up a big portion of the total market value of $7 billion, as well as commercial property with $3 billion. To evaluate and produce a large number of tax parcels, appraisers from the CAD use computer-aided mass appraisal. This evaluation system is used to value many properties at once using computer technology and statistical models.
