HCAD 2017 Property Valuations

The Harris Central Appraisal District (CAD) determines final property valuations after the protest period. In 2023, property owners in Harris County submitted property tax appeals for tax parcels valued at $1,918 million. The market value for all property (including houses, apartments, commercial, and more) equals $888 billion. The market value for houses, condos, and townhouses resulted in $429 billion. Commercial was $156 billion, and business personal property was $39 billion.
