JCAD 2017 Property Valuations

In Jefferson County, property taxes are based on property values assessed by the Jefferson Central Appraisal District (CAD), following the resolution of any protests. In 2023, there were 149,388 tax parcels for appraisers from the CAD to evaluate. The market value for all the property was $44.6 billion. Contributing to the value was houses for $12.8 billion, apartments for $1.3 billion, commercial for $4.1 billion, and business personal property (BPP) for $1.9 billion.
