County Property Taxes – Lawsuits - 2024
In Dallas County, 3,501 lawsuits were filed in 2024 regarding the
Appraisal Review Board ’s (ARB) values. More lawsuits were filed in 2024 compared to 3,131 in 2023. In 2024, 336 lawsuits were for residential, and 1,663 lawsuits were for commercial. According to the Dallas Central
Appraisal District (CAD), the value of all lawsuits filed resulted in a total of $104 billion. The reduction for all accounts settled was $11 billion, meaning 10.07% of all accounts were resolved.
