GrimesCAD 2018 Property Tax Protests
Grimes County Appraisal District received property tax appeals for a total of 1,220 real property and BPP accounts in 2018 versus 1,050 in 2017. The volume of property tax protests in Grimes County has been increasing during the last 3 years. The 2016 property tax protest count was for 910 commercial/industrial / other properties and 312 for houses (74.59% commercial vs 25.57% houses). The volume of Grimes County protests for houses has fell 9.56% in the last two years while the volume of commercial has rose 32.85%.
