LlanoCAD 2018 Property Tax Protests
Llano County Appraisal District received property tax appeals for a total of 1,580 real property and BPP accounts in 2018 versus 2,030 in 2017. The total number of property tax parcels in Llano County was 37,600 in 2018. The 2018 property tax protest count was for 750 commercial/industrial/other properties and 840 for houses (47% commercial vs 53% houses). Llano County protests for houses are rising more quickly than appeals for commercial/other. The total value of Llano County property protested in 2018 was $0.62 billion, including $0.5 billion for houses and $0.146 billion for commercial/other. The total value of property appealed in Llano County in the last two years rose by 27% versus 30.2% statewide.
