ParkerCAD 2018 Property Tax Protests

Parker County Appraisal District received property tax appeals for a total of 5,580 real property and BPP accounts in 2018 versus 8,280 in 2017. The volume of property tax protests in Parker County has been increasing during the last 3 years. The 2016 property tax protest count was for 3,870 commercial/industrial / other properties and 1,710 for houses (69.35% commercial vs 30.64% houses). The volume of Parker County protests for houses has rose 360.67% in the last two years while the volume of commercial has fell 0.95%. The total value of Parker County property protested in 2018 was $2.05 billion, including $405,900,000 billion for houses and $1.63 billion for commercial/other.
