Wichita County 2024 Property Tax Protests

In Wichita County, property owners filed about 4,148 property tax protests in 2024 through the appraisal district that were valued at $3 billion. Drawn from this total, 2,133 protests were filed for single family property, 811 for commercial property, 156 for oil and gas, and 262 for business personal property (BPP). Through the Appraisal Review Board (ARB), 499 property tax hearings were scheduled to further challenge the values. A reduction of $17 million was the result.
