Wilson County Appraisal District 2017 Property Tax Protests
Per the Wilson County Appraisal District (CAD), 4,230 protests were filed in 2023. The total value of those protests was $3 billion. Through Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearings, 1,493 protests were filed. The ARB is one step further in the protest process for a fair chance at a reduction. Binding arbitration is also possible if the property owner is unsatisfied with the hearing results. About 11 binding arbitration cases were filed in 2023.
