Crowded beached generate limited enthusiasm, with only 13% now ready and another 13% ready by June 2020. The highest segment is those willing to return to crowed beaches during July 2020 to September 2020 (18%). About one in three (36%) are ready to return to crowded beaches during October 2020 to December 2021. A surprising 12% believe they will never be comfortable returning to crowded beaches and 8% will not be comfortable until 2022. Hence, one in five are uncomfortable with crowded beaches until at least 2022.
The variety of comfort with returning to “normal life” is believed based on the limited information available regarding COVID-19, no efficacious treatment and no vaccine. We hope more will become comfortable with the new normal as better information becomes available. A treatment for COVID-19 or a vaccine would speed a return to a new normal.
