- According to Hunt CAD’s results, property owners more than doubled their savings in 2024 ($43 million) than in 2023 ($7.59 million) in property taxes. Hunt County property owners protested the taxable value of 9,300 accounts in 2024.
- The success rate of property tax protests in Hunt County ranged from 80% in informal hearings to12% in formal hearings with the Appraisal Review Board (ARB).
- Through informal protests at Hunt CAD and ARB property tax protests, homeowners were able to save $13 million and $3 million, respectively.
