- 12,916 houses were assessed below 100% (that is over 71.3%)
- 28.6% of houses were assessed above 100% (that is 5,175 houses)
Of the 5,175 houses above market value:
- 1,623 houses (8.9%) were more than 110% of market value
- 749 houses (4.1%) were above 120%
- 455 houses (2.5%) were assessed at more than 130% of the market value
In other words, 2.5% of the houses assessed by the Travis County Appraisal District were valued at 30% MORE than what they should be.
This means that you might have one of the houses in that 2.5% that could be paying more property tax than you need to be.
