Dallas Central Appraisal District informal hearings generated an estimated property tax savings of $342 million. Formal hearings with the Appraisal Review Board(ARB) generated an additional tax savings of approximately $271 million, bringing the total tax savings to around $613 million for 2021.

The Dallas Central Appraisal District yielded $10.9 billion in property tax assessment reductions at appraisal review board hearings. As a result, property owners in the county collectively realized close to $271 million in tax savings!

The Dallas Central Appraisal District states the total amount of value reduction achieved through the informal process in 2021 was $13.6 billion. That translates to around a $342 million tax savings for Dallas County property owners.
